Fantasy Football: Congratulations to Danny Bateman & Tom Davies (Year 11) who were joint team managers of the leading team in the 2006/07 Schools Fantasy Football League from Kirk Balk School. Andrew Hague (Year 10) was the manager from the second best team. A' Level Maths: When pupils leave Kirk Balk at the end of year 11 there are several opportunities to continue to study Mathematics. The most popular way is to study one of the range of 'A' level Maths courses on offer at local Colleges and sixth forms. For more details click here

UK Inter Maths Challenge: The 2007 UK Intermediate Maths Challenge for pupils in years 9, 10 and 11 took place across the country on Thursday 1st February. Year 11 Revision: A full GCSE Maths Revision Programme is in place for year 11 pupils at Kirk Balk School. This includes revision sessions after school and in the Easter holidays and lots of revision prior to the modular tests and terminal exam. For more details click here
GCSE Modular Maths: The Maths GCSE is now split into 5 modules spread over 2 years. With module tests taken throughout years 10 and 11 it is important that pupils are aware of when the various modules take place. For more details of the course & dates click here

Maths Equipment: All pupils who attend Kirk Balk School are expected to provide their own Maths equipment for evry lesson and all exams. Equipment needed includes a pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, pencil sharpener, protractor, compass and calculator. To find out more click here |
