  Kirk Balk  is genuinely committed to the principles and practices of life long learning and through the community part of the Technology College Plan we are providing opportunities for  primary schools, secondary schools and adult learning.

Providing coursed from IT for the Terrified to ECDL

On Monday nights we offer the internationally recognised European Computer Driving Licence.  This is delivered through a mix of e-learning, taught input, self teach and tutor support.  Tuesdays we offer Open College Network accredited computer courses at levels one, two or three.  Whilst on a Wednesday evening we provide basic skills through Key Skills in communications.  Thursday nights is the time when we run IT for the Terrified and Saturdays mornings we hold a learn together session for adults and children.

In January 04 we are running in conjunction with Corridor Art a Video Editing course over 5 weeks this is the follow up course to using a video that we ran during the summer of 03.  In all we offer quite a mix of adult learning opportunities. We are always looking to add more courses to our current provision in order to ensure that we meet the demands of our community.
